Graduating from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in June 2011, New York editorial food photographer, Cayla Zahoran went straight to work for two Pittsburgh lifestyle and food magazines, Edible Allegheny and WHIRL Magazine. In addition, she photographed for WHIRL’s smaller publications, WHIRL Wedding Guide, and WHIRL @ Home. During her time at Edible Allegheny, Cayla’s love for photographing (and eating) local food and restaurants truly developed. So, she moved to NYC to broaden her palette and environments she photographs.
Cayla’s work can be seen published in various magazines and cookbooks, such as“Pittsburgh Chef’s Table“ (Globe Pequot Press, December 2013), “Hudson Valley’s Food & Farming: Why Didn’t Anyone Ever Tell Me That?“ (American Palate, November 2014), Edible Manhattan + Brooklyn, Art Culinaire, TimeOut NY, Bust, and The Wall Street Journal. She works for many restaurants, such as STK, Planet Wings, and Halifax Hoboken. Additionally, she has worked on national food brands such as Burger King, Truvia, and PaperChef.
Cayla is available to shoot food photography for restaurants, magazines, cookbooks, and packaging.
