What better way to end this year?? My first WHIRL Magazine cover!!

..and to top this exciting cover..another one for Edible Allegheny.

So, its official! I finally did my first magazine cover! Check out the June/July issue of Edible Allegheny!

I can’t believe only a year ago I was graduating from college with a photography degree and now I am a professional photographer in the Pittsburgh area, who just got a cover! How exciting my life has gotten! 

If you haven’t picked up your copy of Edible Allegheny yet, please do so! There are more photos inside of those cute baby chicks! Stay tuned! Maybe I will get the chance to put some of the other photos up! (..but lets not hold our breath, my attention span for remembering to blog is very short!!)

So a fellow Pittsburgh photographer and friend of mine let me borrow his camera for the weekend, the D700. Which until my new d800 appears on my doorstep, I have been using my d60 (old I know).

But, anyways, I decided to go camera crazy this weekend and shot as much as I can. Here is few shots from today. One is food photography of Cinnamon Butter Bread! and the other is of my kitty! I just wanted to introduce her!

Made brownies the other morning (straight from a box of course!). They were chocolate walnut and caramel swirl! Believe me, they sound and look better than they tasted.

One of the perks of being a Pittsburgh photographer is that I get the opportunity to go around and photograph food and drinks from local restaurants in Pittsburgh. We ended up at Shady Grove to shoot this amazing looking seasonal drink called the ‘Winter Rita’.
